I just installed a new garbage disposal and now my dishwasher will not drain—what’s wrong?
This is usually from the dishwasher plug in the garbage disposal still being in place. Check the connection there, and make sure the plug is removed and that water can flow through the hose into the garbage disposal.
Why does my garbage disposal have a bad smell and isn’t "chopping" things up quickly anymore?
It likely needs to be cleaned. Pour a glass of ice into the disposal and run it for a minute. It will break up solids left in the disposal. Run warm water in the drain for a minute to flush out anything left in the disposal. Tossing some small pieces of lemon or lime rinds into your disposal can leave a fresh scent. If your disposal is still not performing well, it may need to be replaced, which we can do for you anytime.
Why is my toilet sounding like it’s filling every 5 minutes even if I’m not flushing it?
The flapper may be the problem. A new flapper may fix the constant running; in more severe cases, the other inner workings of the toilet may need to be replaced.
Why is there a bad smell that comes out of the drain when I run water down it?
The p-trap part of the piping has likely collected biologicals and needs to be cleaned. We sell enzymes that eat the sludge in the drain and keep it smelling fresh.

My AC unit keeps freezing up, is there anything I can do?
First, turn your air conditioner off and set the fan on your thermostat to "auto." This will allow your unit to thaw out faster (it takes 2-3 hours to fully thaw a system out). Check the filter. A dirty filter will not allow the air to flow through the unit properly and cause it to freeze up. If your filter is clean, the unit needs to be checked. There are several things that will cause an AC to freeze besides a dirty filter. Low refrigerant, a failing motor, or a dirty coil are among the possible reasons for the unit to freeze. The AC needs to be serviced or it will continue to freeze up.
